Collier County Beach Renourishment Project to Begin in November

The 2020 Beach Renourishment Project is slated to start in early November.
According to county officials, commissioners approved Earth Tech Enterprises, Inc. to place sand on Naples Beach from Doctors Pass to close to Lowdermilk Park.

Collier County Wrapping up Beach Renourishment Project

The 2019 Beach Renourishment Project is wrapping up ahead of schedule. Dump trucks have completed the mission of hauling sand from Stewart Mine in Immokalee to a 2.4 mile-stretch of Collier County beach extending from Park Shore South to Clam Pass.
Crews are in the process of completing some shaping and grading of sand on some areas of the beach and final surveys will be needed before all the equipment will be removed from the project area….
Beach Renourishment Begins in Collier County

The Beach Renourishment Project will replenish the sand on Park Shore, North Park Shore and Clam pass beaches in Naples by 2020. North Gulfshore Access closed Monday and Horizon access will close Saturday.
Mary Lundberg owns a condo near Horizon and walks there everyday. She said she’s lucky this beach is closing for the county to replenish it with sand, rather than respond to red tide….
