Stewart Materials Named Best Environmental Solution Palm Beach and Collier Counties’ Beach Renourishment Projects Lauded

May 20, 2015 Jupiter, Florida, U.S.A., Stewart Materials, Inc. (SMI) has been named Best Environmental Solution by Florida Weekly News Magazine in Palm Beach and Collier County. The distinction acknowledges Stewart Materials’ beach renourishment projects in both counties. Stewart Materials supplied 338,495 tons of sand for placement on the stretch of Jupiter Beach from just north of Jupiter Beach Resort to the southernmost tip of Carlin Park. 56,183 tons were placed on Singer Island, immediately south of John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, continuing one mile south.

In 2013, Stewart Materials supplied an original 350,000 tons of custom materials for placement on Collier County’s Vanderbilt, Pelican Bay, Park Shore and Lowdermilk Park beaches. A year later, in 2014 Stewart Materials supplied 78,000 tons of sand for placement in the same areas.
