Stewart Materials Selected Beach Sand Supplier

November 2, 2015, Jupiter, Florida, U.S.A., Stewart Materials, Inc. announced it will supply specified beach sand for the Town of Jupiter Island’s annual contract for beach and dune restoration. Under the initial three-year contract, Stewart Materials’ custom beach sand will supply beach restoration and renourishment, reinforce previously constructed dune projects, and supply emergency sand placement for protection of roads and structures.

Stewart Materials’ Founder Nick Stewart states, “I commend Jupiter Island for solidifying a maintenance contract for renourishment and encourage more municipalities to follow suit. The need for beach renourishment and restoration is both predictable and ongoing.”

Stewart Materials is Florida’s recognized specialist supplier for large-scale, complex beach renourishment projects. Earlier this year, the company supplied nearly 400,000 tons of custom beach sand for two projects in Palm Beach County. Between 2013 and 2014 Stewart Materials supplied nearly 430,000 tons of beach sand for Collier County beaches. “Our company has been very intentional in aggressively specializing in beach renourishment,” comments Stewart.
